energy healing FOR THE BODY AND BEYOND. Sramani Sandy Soto was introduced to Reiki by her best friend, a Cancer survivor who found relief from pain during chemotherapy treatments with regular in-hospital Reiki treatments when nothing else would help. Sandy is available for in-person or distance Reiki sessions as well as space clearings in your home or other physical space. Another effective energy healing technique is EFT. Although Sandy is not a certified practitioner, she can show you how to use it on yourself and direct you to more EFT resources. Sandy's experience with EFT goes back to her Cancer scare in which she used it to relieve anxiety and insomnia. Having learned only the basic tapping sequence, she was surprised at how powerfully and quickly it worked. She know shares the information freely with everyone. TECHNIQUES REIKI Reiki is a healing practice that originated in Tibet. Reiki practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above the person receiving treatment, with the goal of facilitating the person's own healing response. Reiki is based on the idea that there is a universal (or source) energy that supports the body's innate healing abilities. The healer channels this energy, allowing it to flow from their hands to the body of the recipient, facilitating healing. In a Reiki session, the client lies down or sits comfortably, fully clothed. The practitioner's hands are placed lightly on or just above the client's body, palms down, using a series of different hand positions. Each position is held for about 2 to 5 minutes, or until the practitioner feels that the flow of energy—experienced as sensations such as heat or tingling in the hands—has slowed or stopped. The recipient may experience a deep state of relaxation during a Reiki session. They might also feel warm, tingly, sleepy, or refreshed. The client may also notice faster healing and may also experience immediate relief. The number of sessions depends on the health needs of the client. Typically, the practitioner delivers at least four sessions of 30 to 90 minutes each. Reiki can also be used for non-physical treatment, for example, emotional distress, a stressful event, or even to shift the energy in a home. EFT EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is an emotionally based energy healing technique that works by stimulating certain meridian points in the body by tapping on them with the fingertips. It is similar to acupuncture, except that no needles are used. The principle behind it is the connection between your body's subtle energies, your emotions, and your health. This addresses the underlying cause for emotional issues (unbalanced energy meridians). Since emotional stress can contribute to pain, disease and physical ailments, EFT often provides significant physical relief. EFT has been reported successful in thousands of cases covering a huge range of emotional, health and performance issues. |
